READING, MA — The Friends of Reading Seniors 60 Plus are sponsoring a new program designed to help individuals organize critical personal information and ease the burden on family members during times of transition.
Titled the “Life Transition Binder Program,” the initiative will take place at the Pleasant Street Center and will guide participants through the process of compiling essential personal, financial, medical, and legal documents into one comprehensive resource.
An informational session, led by Sandra Batra, will be held on Wednesday, April 8, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the Pleasant Street Center. The session will provide an overview of the program and details on how to register. Attendance is encouraged for anyone interested in participating.
The full program will run across four sessions on May 27, June 3, June 10, and June 17. Participants are required to attend all sessions, during which Sandra Batra will work directly with attendees to create their own personalized Life Transition Binder. Space is limited to 30 participants.
Organizers note that many families are often faced with the difficult task of managing a loved one’s affairs with little or no information. This program aims to proactively address that challenge by helping seniors prepare and organize important details in advance.
“This program will be invaluable for seniors and will ease the path for those family members entrusted with supporting future needs,” organizers said.
The Friends of Reading Seniors 60 Plus encourage residents to attend the April 8 informational session and consider registering for the full program beginning in late May.
