Town Clerk Releases Final Nomination Papers for Election

Voters to decide contested Select Board and School Committee races on April 7

Reading, MA — Town Clerk Laura Gemme has released the final nomination papers, confirming the list of candidates who will appear on the ballot for Reading’s 2026 local election. The election will be held on April 7 at the Walter Hawkes Field House, with polls open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Four candidates are seeking two seats on the Select Board: incumbents Carlo Bacci and Karen Herrick, along with newcomers Salvatore Bramante and Anthony D’Arezzo.

Three candidates are running for two seats on the School Committee: incumbent Erin Gaffen and challengers Greoffrey Coram and Lori Hayes.

Incumbents running unopposed are Christian Popp and Monettee Verrier for the Board of Library Trustees, Robert Coulter for Light Board Commissioner, and Alan Foulds for Town Moderator.
