READING, MA – Rt 128 Honda, in partnership with the Reading Fire Department, is proud to announce the successful conclusion of their annual Toys for Tots drive, which ran from October 1st through December 15th.
The community’s generosity resulted in the collection of 10 boxes of toys/ 20 large bags, along with $500.00 in cash raised through raffle sales.
The drive was managed and coordinated by community leader Ashley Auld, a dedicated firefighter/paramedic with the Reading Fire Department who is also currently studying to become a nurse.
Her efforts, along with the volunteers she coordinates, were instrumental in the initiative’s success.
The collected items have been delivered to a sorting center for distribution to children in need this holiday season.
Dan Loggins, Owner and General Manager of Rt 128 Honda, and Rita Rose Pasquale, the dealership’s Community and Events Manager, initiated the partnership last year and plan to make it an annual event.
“The response from the Reading community has been incredible,” said Loggins. “Being able to support local families during the holidays is what being a community partner is all about.”
The dealership is known for its involvement in various community support initiatives.
