Jerilyn A. Marchesi (Heinstrom), of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home on her 70th birthday, October 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Melrose, MA, on October 26, 1955, she was the dear daughter of the late Charles and Phyllis (Doucette) Heinstrom. Jerilyn was raised in Reading, MA, and was a proud graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1973.
Following high school, Jerilyn attended and graduated from Melrose Beauty School. She worked as a hairdresser throughout her life, sharing her talent and creativity with family and friends.
A gifted seamstress, Jerilyn made countless beautiful outfits, pajamas, and heartfelt gifts for her children and family. She also worked for many years at the Morgan Awning Company, creating both commercial and residential awnings with great skill and care.
In 1977, Jerilyn married the love of her life, Edward Marchesi. The couple settled in Wilmington in 1983, where they raised a beautiful and loving family. Jerilyn’s family was her world—she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who encouraged her family to always do their best. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and found great joy in watching them grow.
Jerilyn had a special touch when it came to her home and garden. She loved tending to her yard and took pride in creating enchanting “fairy gardens” that brought magic and joy to those around her.
She also enjoyed a variety of outings with her family including going out to eat, picnics by the lake, going to the beach, and holiday events.
Jerilyn will be remembered for her kind heart, bright smile, deep love for her family and friends, and her signature pink fingernails. Beautiful inside and out, she will be forever missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Jerilyn was the beloved wife of Edward F. Marchesi; devoted mother of Matthew E. Marchesi, Michele L. Marchesi and her companion John Hogan of Wilmington, Jonathan E. Marchesi of Woburn, and Jordan C. E. Marchesi of Billerica. She was predeceased by her beloved sons Edward C. Marchesi and Marlon E. Marchesi. Loving “Nana” of Matthew, Kai, Shane, and Nevaeh. Dear sister of Wayne Heinstrom, Donna LeBlanc and her husband Brian, William Heinstrom and his wife Kelli, and the late Susan Moody. Jerilyn is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
At Jerilyn’s request, all services will be private.
