Ann M. (Mulvey) Tierney, of Reading, formerly of Mission Hill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2023. She was 87 years of age.
Ann was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there for her family. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the St. Athanasius community.
Ann and her beloved husband, Sean, spent many years traveling with friends and family. Ireland was their favorite annual destination where they enjoyed visiting with their extensive family.
Ann is the beloved wife of the late John “Sean” Tierney. She is the cherished mother of Kevin Tierney and his wife Sarah, Mary Wolfe, and her husband Edward and the late John J. Tierney. Loving grandmother of Brian, Paul, John, Kiera, Catherine, and Jack. Great grandmother of Amelia. Dear sister of the late John Mulvey, James Mulvey, Kevin Mulvey, Mary Meehan, and Kathleen “Kay” Mulvey. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with her family on Thursday, August 31, 2023, in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING from 9 am to 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Ann’s Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30. Interment Woodend Cemetery, Reading.
