Reading, MA — Meadow Brook is pleased to share that we have hired Kevin Franey, PGA, as our next great Head Golf Professional. Kevin is a PGA Golf Professional with 14 years of experience working at private golf clubs and will be joining Meadow Brook full-time on March 1st.
Kevin graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in PGA Golf Management. His resume includes experience at several well-known courses, including Medinah Country Club, Boston Golf Club, CC of North Carolina, Essex County Club, and Rich Harvest Farms. At each club, Kevin worked in positions with progressive levels of responsibility and honed his trade working for top-notch PGA Professionals.
Kevin joins us from Ferncroft Country Club where he spent six years as the Lead Assistant Golf Professional. In that role, he developed a reputation as a tournament specialist, running over 50 annual events for both Men’s and Women’s Golf, providing golf instruction, extensive experience in club fitting, and managing and training golf staff.
Kevin brings to Meadow Brook a strong knowledge of golf operations, a recent Pro-Am title (at Meadow Brook, 2022), and a ton of enthusiasm for the position. In his own words, Kevin is “dedicated to providing the best golf experience possible to club members and guests.”
Rounding out the Pro Shop staff will be returning Assistant Golf Pro Ryan Hamelin and new Assistant Golf Pros Ryan Christopher and Corey McKenna.
