Helen Virginia (Reading) Swanson, a longtime resident of Reading, passed away on July 13, 2022, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was 97 years of age. Helen was born in Boston on February 18, 1925.
Helen was a longtime member of the Old South united Methodist Church in Reading and long after retirement she was a volunteer at the Mission of Deeds in Reading.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Harold W. Swanson. Devoted mother of Pamela H. McCuish of Georgetown and Gregg H. Swanson of Reading. She was the loving grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 1.
Funeral services and burial are private and there are no visiting hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Helen’s memory to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill St., Reading, MA 01867.
