Norma L. (Zanotti) Nunziato of Reading passed away on March 16, 2022, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. She was 90 years of age.
Norma was born in Wilmington MA on June 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Louis and Josephine (Brugolini) Zanotti. Norma spent her early years in rural Wilmington before moving with her family to Medford, MA. Norma continued to spend much time during her youth and adult life returning to their cottage in Wilmington spending many happy times with her entire family and siblings’ family throughout her life. Upon graduation from Medford High School, Norma went on to hair dressing school where she met the love of her life, Louis Nunziato. Together they operated a successful beauty salon for over 30 years in downtown Boston MA.
Norma settled with her husband Louis, of 70 years, in Reading MA where they raised their daughter Donna and son John and lived happily to this day. In Reading she made several lasting friends and wonderful memories.
Norma was the beloved wife and loving partner of the Louis J. Nunziato of Reading MA and loving and supportive mother of Donna Walsh and her husband Dave of Reading and John Nunziato and his wife Karen of Lynnfield MA. Norma spent countless hours with her 5 grandchildren, John Walsh (Casey), James Walsh (Elizabeth), Lindsay McCarthy (Ryan) and Logan and Sloan Nunziato; and 7 great-grandchildren Bennett, Lucy, Franklin, Josephine, Maeve, Nolan, and Emerson. Norma was the sister of the late Alba DiGregorio and her husband Ernie, Julia Malm and her husband Jim and her brother Leo Zanotti and his wife Josephine. She had a close relationship with her three siblings and her many special nieces and nephews.
A visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St., (corner of Woburn St.) Reading. Norma’s funeral will be held from the funeral home on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will in St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St., Reading MA at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Wood End Cemetery in Reading.
