August 26, 1950 – November 1, 2021
Kitty Lynch passed away on November 1st at the age of 71, peacefully at her home in Reading, MA. Her battle with cancer showed her courage to face life’s challenges with incredible strength. Despite the fight, Kitty stayed strong until the end and passed surrounded by love.
Kitty was born the youngest of five daughters to John and Margaret Kelly of Stoneham on August 26, 1950, in Winchester, MA. She attended Saint Patrick’s School in Stoneham and graduated from Our Lady of Nazareth Academy in Wakefield before receiving an associate’s degree in Fashion Merchandising from Bay State Junior College.
Kitty’s greatest accomplishment was her family. She married James T Lynch in 1973 at Saint Joseph Parish in Wakefield, MA. Living in Stoneham Kitty gave birth to her two children, Jamie and Kelly while supporting the growth of James T. Lynch Construction. Her dedication and support helped lead to building their family home in Reading during 1987.
Kitty loved spending time in the kitchen preparing delicious meals for her family and holidays. She found joy in being a hockey mom and planning neighborhood celebrations. She touched so many with her artistic talents and handmade gifts.
Kitty cherished spending time with friends, indulging in a good meal and watching her family grow.
We remember her for her time spent on Cape Cod, her love for her two bichons; Charlie and Marley, her recent winters in Venice Florida; enjoying herself at Pelican Alley and her latest hobby of bird watching from the living room window.
But most importantly we remember her for her loyal friendship to many, the laughs she shared, the smiles she gave and memories she made. Let a butterfly remind us that even though she is apart her spirit is always in our hearts.
Kitty is preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Kelly, her sister’s Elieen Kelly- Mengotto, Maureen Maloney, and Margo Grady.
Survived by her devoted husband James T. Lynch, son James O. Lynch, daughter Kelly Lynch-Williams, son in law Kevin Williams, daughter in law Julie and grandsons Kayden, Kyan and Kingston Williams, JJ Lynch, Sister Karen Kelly, Niece Anne Lucey. As well as her many other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Friday, November 5th at 10 am at Saint Joseph Parish, 108 Albion Street, Wakefield MA.
