Linda Ann Sidman, age 71, born November 18, 1949, at Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain died after a three-year battle with cancer at her home in Reading on August 14, 2021.
Linda graduated Medway High School and went on to work in the medical field. Over the last several years she focused on taking care of others. Nanny to both family and friends and working as a home health aide, she was loved by all who’s life she touched.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Elfriede Otilia Schiens and Robert Barnes Jacoben, and is survived by her sisters and brother-in-laws, Kirsten and John O’Malley, their children and spouses Brian and Caitlin, Neil and Tamara, and Kevin; sister Barbara and husband Robert Draper; her daughter Stacy Sidman; and her partner of 18 years Donald Young, his five children and their spouses, Kenneth and Cathleen, Daniel and Luciane, Elizabeth and Ralf, Christine, and Eugene, as well as Donald’s grandchildren that Linda loved so much and who made her life so full, Samuel, Katarina, Abigail, Sarah, Michael, and Kathryn.
She always put others first and never asked for help. Linda will be remembered as a strong, warm, and loving mother, partner, and friend. She will be truly missed.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. A private service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Winchester Hospital Champion of Care in honor of Andrew C. Wiechert, MD, Janet Gallant-Wood, NP, and Rebecca Gosson, RN for their amazing support, wisdom, and strength. We will forever be grateful for the care they provided to not only Linda but to her family.
