Mary Elizabeth Baldwin, age 82, of Wakefield, formerly of Reading and Winchester, passed away on July 9, 2021.
Beloved friend of the late Bernice (Bunny) Gomes and Minnie Jackson. Mary is survived by lifelong friends, Art and Karen Vars, Shelli Vars and Nicole Dufresne, all of Reading and Robyn Vars of Stoneham, David and Barbara Gomes of Townsend and their families and Judith Erickson of Cambridge.
Mary worked at Winchester Hospital in Environmental Services for 36 years. She worked on several units and made a great number of friends over the years. She was known for her kindness and compassion. She had a wonderful Church family at Trinity Evangelical of North Reading where she was a faithful member of Keenagers. Some of her happiest memories are from her years of living at Peter Sanborn Place in Reading, Women’s Weekends in Damariscotta ME, summers in Rockport MA, her Bermuda cruise with Art, Karen and Bunny and trips to Florida. Special thanks go to Care Dimensions and to the staff at her group home at 4 Keeling Road in Wakefield for their care and compassion throughout this difficult time.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 21 at 11:00am at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11.
