Obituary: Frank T. Soracco, 90

July 28, 1930 – June 27, 2021

Frank T. Soracco, of Pembroke, formerly of Reading, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 27.  He was 90 years of age.

Born and raised in Dorchester, he was the son of the late Francis C., and the late Alma A. (Carabbio) Soracco; and he was the loving husband of 49 years to the late Fay B. (Nelson) Soracco.  Prior to retirement, Frank worked as a General Manager for the Tambone Corp.

After retirement, Frank and his late wife Fay enjoyed collecting, refurbishing, and selling antiques.  He could fix anything, and was known as a “jack of all trades.”  Frank was also an avid antique car collector, and he enjoyed attending antique car shows and events.  He also liked to work around his home, and he took particular pride in caring for his lawn.

Frank is survived by his beloved partner, Jacqueline Hauser.  Frank is also survived by his five children and their spouses, Linda Soracco and her husband Robert Tise of Scituate, Andrea Lash and her husband Donald of Pembroke, Paul Soracco and his wife Kelly of Turner, ME, Nancy O’Halloran of Palm City, FL, and Michael Soracco and his wife Heather of Reading.  He is also survived by his sister, Alma V. Tambone of Danvers, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be at the Douglass, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (cor. of Woburn St.) Reading on Saturday, July 10 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
