Michael McLean of Reading passed away at the age of 65 on June 16, 2021, with his family by his side.
Michael is survived by his wife of 41 years Donna. He leaves behind his two children Elizabeth Tufo and her husband David, and Patrick, all of Reading.
Michael was the beloved “Grampie” to his three grandchildren, Emma, Dylan, and Nora. He is also survived by his siblings Diane, George, John, and Danny, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Michael was a graduate of Somerville High School and Boston State College. After retiring from Delta Airlines, Michael went on to work for the USPS until his retirement in 2019 where he made many friends along the way. A lifelong sports fan, Michael enjoyed refereeing high school basketball for over 40 years and most recently enjoyed watching his grandchildren play youth sports.
Funeral from the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Wednesday June 23rd at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Michael’s Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30 am. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Tuesday June 22nd from 4 pm to 8 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
