Chamber to Partner with MelroseWakefield Healthcare on Wellness Series

The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce announced a new Wellness series developed in partnership with MelroseWakefield Healthcare. The series will consist of virtual events featuring expert speakers on timely subjects, such as the COVID-19 vaccine, 10-minute mini exercise routines, and healthy cooking.

“We are excited to bring our practitioners and their expertise to educate and support the community. All are welcome to attend and learn from our team,” noted Judy Sadacca, Physician Outreach and Community Relations Manager at MelroseWakefield Healthcare.

The series will kick off on Tuesday, March 2 at 6pm with a COVID-19 vaccine overview from Dr. Steven Sbardella, Chief Medical Officer at MelroseWakefield Healthcare. This seminar will last 30 minutes and will focus on the medical aspects of the vaccine including what to expect when you are vaccinated. This virtual event is free, and all are invited to attend by registering on the Chamber’s website at readingnreadingchamber.com.

“The need for wellness and stress relief has made national headlines, and we are pleased to create this series to support our communities” noted Josh Harrington, Chamber President and owner of JH Insurance Group. “All are invited to participate in these short, virtual programs, all provided at no cost thanks to MelroseWakefield Healthcare”.

Additional programs include mini exercise routine class on March 23 at 5:30 taught by Joyce Lockert, Physical Therapist. Joyce will offer a 10-minute routine that is intended to “UNDO” the effects of prolonged sitting and restore pain-free mobility throughout the body. Additional programs are in development, including a session on healthy cooking at home.
