Good Afternoon,
A few words about Carla Nazzaro, 2020 Candidate for School Committee, Carla and I worked together while I was the Principal at Parker Middle School for three of her four children, Alex, Zach and Julianna. Carla was a parent leader who quickly distinguished herself as a person with a heart for service and a wonderfully positive disposition focused on supporting students and teachers in anyway she could. She volunteered for every activity she could and would work tirelessly behind the scenes to support and advocate for students and families that needed help. Carla had and continues to have high expectations for her children, understanding that each learned differently and had different needs. This awareness of differentiated needs led to a terrific understanding of how best to support teachers and us administrators at the school level.
Carla has always demonstrated a positive, common sense approach to improving anything she is a part of, it doesn’t matter if she is volunteering in the library, chaperoning a field trip or simply leading a school fundraiser. Carla is committed to leaving something better than she found it. This ethic of service joined with her ability to make and maintain relationships make her uniquely qualified candidate for School Committee. It is my pleasure to endorse Carla Nazzaro for the Reading School Committee.
Sincerely,
Douglas Lyons
