Dear Reading Friends,
One of the best parts of running for a local office is the ability to meet with so many residents, neighbors and friends. When meeting each new person, I’ve sought to listen closely to better understand the concerns of each person and, in aggregate, of the community.
I am so grateful for the endorsements that I’ve received throughout the community. My supporters, from young families to senior citizens, all share a common interest in making Reading a wonderful place to live. I am pleased and grateful to share the following “Supporter Spotlights”:
“As active Town Volunteers (Finance and Audit Committee) as well as longtime elected Town Mtg members – we appreciate Anne’s experience, ability to work effectively at the town and state level and her respectful, thoughtful approach to difficult challenges whether financial or social. Serving on the Select Board requires tact and broad knowledge local as well as the willingness to listen to all sides of an issue. Having worked with Anne over the past few years we know she has the necessary commitment and skills to serve as a strong champion for Reading.” – Karen and Stephen Herrick
“Anne will bring her extensive background in public service at both the community and the state level, her intelligence, and her compassion to her position on our Select Board. I look forward to her stepping into that role next month. Join me in casting one of your two votes for Anne on April 2.” – Mary Ellen O’Neill
“Over the 40+ years that our family has lived in Reading, we have seen some tireless leaders step up to the challenge of Select Board. The most influential have displayed a determination to get things done, and a willingness to advocate and compromise until progress was made. From what we see of Anne, she will be one of those truly great leaders who give so much to our town.” – Phil & Celia Logsdon
“We are thrilled to support Anne Landry for Reading Select Board. Anne has a collaborative and inclusive approach to public service. Her years of experience in both town and state level government, as well as her dedication to our town and community, will make her a wonderful addition to the Select Board.” – John and Liz Sullivan
“I’m supporting Anne Landry because she is one of the most thoughtful people I know. She will bring her extensive experience (as a Fin Com member and public servant) together with her ability to collaborate and listen. Reading is lucky to have her!” – Laura Wilson
“At the heart of Anne’s leadership style is a genuine kindness and interest in the well-being of others. She doesn’t sit on the sidelines and complain. She jumps in and takes action on issues that she believes in.” – Meredith and Ben Yoder
“As a fellow Town Meeting and Finance Committee member for the Town of Reading, I have had the opportunity to witness firsthand Anne’s thoughtful approach to public service. I know she will make an extraordinarily capable and compassionate Select Board member” – Paula Perry
“We proudly support Anne Landry for Select Board! Through our work on Yes for Reading, we saw first-hand Anne’s dedication to the well-being of our town and her compassion for all residents. Anne will continue to advocate for the families of Reading, and will provide a level of much-needed respect and collaboration in her work with others.” – Erin and Eric Gaffen
“We’re voting for Anne because her skills, experience, values, and passion make her an ideal Select Board member.” – Alice Collins and John Lippitt
With less than 2 weeks left before April 2nd, I’m still eager to meet with as many residents as possible, to learn what is important to you, and to earn your vote. As a Select Board member, I pledge to listen and work collaboratively to create solutions on your behalf.
Many thanks,
Anne Landry
