READING – At their regular meeting on March 7, the School Committee heard a detailed presentation about the progress that has been made using their federal School Transformation Grant. The presentation was given by Sara Burd, Reading Public School Leader of Social and Emotional Learning, Erica McNamara, Director of Reading Coalition of Substance Abuse, and principals from each level of the school district. The focus of the presentation was exploring the use of multi-tiered systems of support for students in the Reading Public Schools and how they have been implemented in various ways in different schools.
