Reading, MA – The Boston Vegetarian Society (BVS), in collaboration with the Reading Public Library, invites the community to an enlightening and inspiring event on the role of plant-based diets in addressing climate change. The free presentation, Food and Climate Change: How We Can Be Part of the Solution, will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Reading Public Library.
As Earth Month approaches, this program will explore the significant impact of food choices on the environment and how individuals can contribute to a more sustainable future. The event will feature David Havelick, a Board Member of the Boston Vegetarian Society and an Associate Director at Harvard University’s Office for Sustainability. David, who has been vegan since 2008, is passionate about the ethical, environmental, and health benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. He also plays a key role in organizing the renowned Boston Veg Food Fest.
Following the presentation and an interactive Q&A session, attendees will be treated to delicious, planet-friendly (vegan!) refreshments.
