The Finance Committee at their regular meeting on August 10th will discuss the financial needs of the Town Government for Fiscal Year 2018 as well as all the Proposition 2 1/2 override discussions to date. The School Committee voted at their July 27th meeting to ask the Board of Selectmen to include $3.9 million in any override for the schools. The Board of Selectmen voted at their August 9th meeting to inform the residents of the Board’s intent to call for a Special Election on October 18th, but have not made any decisions regarding the total amount that will be asked for in the vote. The Finance Committee will also review their liaison appointments at the meeting.
