Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I would like to provide a strong endorsement for Karen Herrick for the Reading Select Board.
Karen is a 24 year Reading resident who has also been an active elected Town Meeting Member for 19 years and is serving her fifth year on the Finance Committee as the liaison to the Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD).
I first met Karen to discuss my work as an RMLD Citizens Advisory Board Member as to how Reading might successfully implement more clean energy initiatives with RMLD as a partner. Reading and the three other towns served by RMLD need to explore ways to collaborate with RMLD to help deploy more electric vehicle charging stations, solar energy in town-owned buildings and energy-efficient solutions for heating and cooling buildings.
Like myself, Karen is passionate about bringing more solar and green energy solutions to Reading and given her National Association of Realtors GREEN Certification – has the significant knowledge base needed to effectively advocate for Reading in this area.
Please join me in voting for Karen Herrick for the Reading Select Board on March 3rd.
