Five-course dinner featuring Silver Oak and Duncan Family wines set for September 29
Reading, MA — Post 1917 Reading will host a one-night-only Silver Oak Wine Dinner on Tuesday, September 29, at 6 p.m.
The evening will feature a five-course menu created by Post 1917’s culinary team, paired with a selection of Silver Oak wines and wines from the Duncan Family portfolio.
The five-course menu includes:
- Passed: Stuffed Calamari with crab, lemon, herbs, pepper, onion, and basil, along with Tempura King Crab with caper-lime remoulade, paired with Silver Oak Sauvignon Blanc from Napa and Sonoma Valley.
- First Course: Cured Scallops paired with Prince Hill Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley.
- Second Course: Veal Marsala with mushrooms, pancetta, shallots, and pappardelle, paired with Prince Hill Pinot Noir from Dundee Hills.
- Main Course: Choice of Kona-Crusted Ribeye Cap with Roquefort demi or Bacon Tomato Jam Ribeye Cap, paired with a comparison of Silver Oak Cabernet from Alexander Valley and Silver Oak Cabernet from Napa Valley.
- Dessert: Peach Blueberry Cobbler with graham cracker ice cream, paired with Timeless Red Blend from Soda Canyon Ranch.
The dinner is designed to give guests an opportunity to experience how each wine complements its paired dish. The event is suited for a date night, anniversary, special celebration or anyone who enjoys food and wine.
The dinner is $195 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Seating is limited, and reservations are required through OpenTable under “Experiences.”
