Nancy M. Gloor (Davis) of North Andover, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7th, at the age of 83, surrounded by her family.
Born in Woburn, Massachusetts, on March 20, 1943, Nancy was raised and lived in Stoneham, Massachusetts, well into her adult life, eventually moving to Reading, Massachusetts, and then living many of her retirement years in Freedom, New Hampshire, before settling in North Andover, Massachusetts, for the past 12 years.
Nancy graduated from Stoneham High School, class of 1960.
Nancy worked as a librarian at Hanscom Air Force Base before meeting her husband, Irving.
After marrying, Nancy focused on raising her family. As her children grew older, Nancy became a vital part of her husband Irving’s business operations. After her kids were grown, Nancy rekindled her love of gardening and worked at Eric’s Greenhouses in Reading for many years.
Nancy loved the outdoors. She could be found every weekend in the summers from 1977 to 2014 at her first cottage in Hampstead, N.H., or later at her home in Freedom, N.H., where she loved boating and all things on the water.
She loved to travel, and in her retirement, years made several cross-country road trips with her husband Irving, eventually making it to 49 of the 50 states. She had a special love for animals, especially dogs as she had many throughout her lifetime.
Nancy was unique and without a doubt one of a kind, but nothing defined her more than her love for her family.
Nancy is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years Irving, her two sons, Matthew of Stoneham and Eddie of Wakefield. as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Norman P. Davis and Mildred F. Davis (Campbell), her brother Phillip, her dear sister-in-law Mary, and her best friend Linda Lucci Little.
