Community-wide festival invites musicians and hosts to join the all-volunteer tradition from noon to 6 pm on Reading’s porches, yards, and driveways

Reading, MA — Reading PorchFest is a community rite of spring. It’s held every year on the 4th Saturday in June, fitting nicely between the end of school and the 4th of July.
Our PorchFest began in 2019, as part of the town’s 375th anniversary celebration, and it has grown every year since then. Check out YouTube for past performances. I especially like the 2020 COVID edition, when our musicians insisted we go ahead with PorchFest- all online.
So far, the 2026 edition, slated for Saturday, June 27th, has more than 80 musical acts lined up, taking place at dozens of porches, driveways, front and back yards all over town.
But there’s always room for more. Help us make this the biggest festival yet. Sign up your band, your trio, duet, or solo act, and we’ll find a place for you.
No musical talent? Like me? Sign on as a host. All you need is a convenient part of your yard, a little electricity, and you’re all set. We’ll match you with music.
To join in, check out ReadingPorchFest.com. All the information you need to become part of the fun is right there.
In true community spirit, this is an all-volunteer effort – hosts, musicians, and organizers.
Make sure to save the date – Saturday, June 27 – from noon until six pm. Be a part of this town tradition.
