January 2, 1942 – June 6, 2025

Carol A. (Wisentaner) Weyler, 83, a longtime resident of Kingston, NH, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 6, 2025, at her home. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth L. Weyler, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.
She was born in Wakefield, MA, on January 2, 1942, and was the firstborn and only daughter of the late Walter C. and Theodora (Mawhinney) Wisentaner. The family would later have two sons, David and Mark.
Carol was raised and educated in Reading, MA, and was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1959. She attended Endicott Junior College, graduating with an AS in Advertising and going to work for the Christian Science Monitor as a copywriter. She also did part-time work as a model for a furrier in Boston and as a waitress at Buck’s Diner in Reading.
She met her future husband on a blind date at an MIT party. Carol married Kenneth in June of 1963, and they honeymooned on their way to Selma, AL. In Selma, Ken was assigned to Air Force pilot training, graduating in July of 1964. Their daughter, Elizabeth, was born in May of 1964. Carol took well to the challenge of being an Air Force wife. Her husband had regular missions that took him away for three to twelve days at a time, and once for a year, but she held down the fort with courage.
A move to Tacoma, WA, tested her further, but Carol was good at coping with the absences and taught other Air Force wives her tricks for filling the time. One of her favorite plans was to surprise her husband with a new project, like painting a room a different color, and upon his return, counting the hours it took before he realized the change. It was while the family was based both in Oklahoma and Washington state that Kenneth M. was born in Tacoma, March of 1966.
To settle the family for school, Ken left active duty for the Air Force Reserves in 1969. He joined American Airlines as a pilot and settled in Kingston, NH, on April 1, 1970. The family has lived there ever since, with Donald being born in August of 1970.
Carol was a homemaker, a devoted wife, and loving mother. She and her husband were active in town affairs, and, while the children were growing up, they were involved in PTA, bowling leagues, and Scouts. Carol especially enjoyed the two years she spent as a Cub Scout den mother with her son Don and several of his friends. When her husband was on the Planning Board and could not find a secretary, Carol came to the rescue. This led to her serving several years on the Board of Adjustments. Her membership made a difference as she ensured all members were familiar with the laws and ordinances.
Carol enjoyed having her daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Jonathan build a house next door. This allowed her to watch three grandchildren grow up, and she encouraged their frequent visits. Carol enriched her surroundings with her myriad of craft projects in macrame, knitting, and stained glass, and she was happy to teach others the skills. Carol was a person who loved being home, but she also enjoyed several overseas trips: England when Elizabeth was in London for a semester abroad, Australia for Ken’s brother’s wedding, as well as Korea, Germany, and Italy where their son Don was based in the Army.
We thank God that Ken and Carol were able to enjoy the stable life of 55 years of being a part of Kingston, New Hampshire.
Besides her husband, Carol is survived by her children Elizabeth Ann Beebe and her husband Jonathan of Kingston, NH, Kenneth M. Weyler of Kingston, NH, and Donald A. Weyler and his wife Jennifer of Hamilton, NJ, Carol’s grandchildren Eric Beebe, Kyle Beebe, Julia Beebe, and Jillian Weyler, and Carol’s brother Mark Wisentaner of Sandwich, MA. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved them all dearly.
Carol was sadly predeceased by her brother David Wisentaner.
