I am puzzled by the reference to eight minutes and the understanding of Ms. Murphy’s Instructional Motion presented by Ms. Noonan in her 5/1/24 LTE. At the 4/29/24 Town Meeting immediately following Melissa Murphy’s Instructional Motion, Tara Gregory, in approximately 92 seconds, quickly and succinctly summed up what took close to 50 minutes for Town Meeting to come to the same conclusion; Melissa Murphy’s Instructional Motion would be a waste of town staff and volunteer time, unachievable, an overreach and it was soundly rejected by an overwhelming majority.
I am voting for Tara Gregory on May 14 because I believe they are the most qualified and best candidate to serve on the Select Board. Tara Gregory, in my opinion, wants to serve the entire community. I am tired of vanity projects from both Select Board members and candidates for the Select Board. I am tired of the waste of Select Board meeting time and now Town Meeting member’s time for grandstanding.
I suggest a vote for Tara Gregory in order to get things back to the business of running the town.
