Reading, MA — In relation to the “MBTA Communities Law” (Section 3A of the Zoning Act), Town of Reading planning staff is seeking community input and opinions on the forms of multi-family housing preferred, where such forms are desirable, and the concerns around such. In short, the law requires a Zoning Bylaw provision that provides at least one district of reasonable size in which multi-family housing is allowed by-right. Reading does NOT currently comply with the law. Your input will help guide the future zoning language to be developed.
