Doris “Deb” (Barbeau) Hagman, a longtime resident of Reading, formerly of Wakefield passed away on November 11, 2021, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a very brave fight post-operative. She was 89 years of age.
Deb was born in Everett, Massachusetts in August 1932, the daughter of Lawrence R. and Alberta L. (Good) Barbeau. Deb was a retired RN who returned to work after raising three boys very well. Deb was an active member and past co-president of the Reading Craftsman Society and an avid painter.
Deb was the beloved wife of the late Charles E. Hagman. Devoted mother of Rick Hagman of Reading, David Hagman of Woburn, and the late Keith Hagman. Loving grandmother to Dave Hagman and his wife Nicole of Tewksbury and the late Liz Hagman. Devoted sister of the late Spencer and Donald White. She is survived by her dear friends Kathleen Justice and family of Chelsea and Shirley Day of Reading and so many other dear friends and family who loved and supported her.
A Funeral Service celebrating Deb’s life will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading at 11 am. Burial to follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Funeral Home visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Family asks that all attending please wear a mask.
