Jessie L. Bosbach, of Reading, passed away on February 5th, 2021, at the age of 93.
For her entire adult life, Jessie was the consummate caregiver. Upon the adulthood of her seven children, Jessie worked with the Reading Nursing Home as a cook during the mid-’70s for several years and also served as the legal guardian for an elderly gentleman for many years, as well as caring for the child of the Schick family of Reading. With the aging of her mother Grace Bemis of Woburn, Jessie served as her caretaker until her death at the age of 101 in 1999. She then focused on providing loving care for her husband Albert H. Bosbach in his later years, preceding her in death at the age of 80 in 2005.
Jessie was a beloved sister of the late Charles M. Bemis, Muriel B. Hayes, Louise P. Rose, Stuart A. Bemis, and Judith P. Hartman. Jessie is survived by her children Stephen (wife Crystal) of Ashland, OR, Sandra of Chester, VT, Beverly of Reading, Russell (wife Nancy Tarquinio) of Acton, Rosemary Curran (husband Michael) of Windham, NH, and David (wife Aiko) of Pittsburgh, PA, and preceded in death by her beloved daughter Catherine Bosbach in 2017, survived by her husband Thomas McTaggart of York ME. Jessie was a loving grandmother to seventeen grandchildren and great-grandmother to eighteen great-grandchildren.
Due to the pandemic, Jessie’s funeral service and burial at Charles Lawn Cemetery in Reading will be private.
