READING, MA — Rumor has it that The Quannapowitt Players, Inc., is in rehearsal for our season opener, Rumors by Neil Simon. Rumors is a door-slamming farce in which cover-ups abound at the 10th anniversary party of the deputy mayor of New York and his wife. A botched suicide and accidental shooting keep the high-society attendees scrambling to cover up the situation. Misunderstandings multiply, and rumors fly faster than the truth in this nonstop farce turning the dinner party into a hysterical disaster. Rumors is directed by Glenn Wakeley and features Susan Austin, Lauren Casey, Michael Govang, Anetta LaCount, Damien LaCount, Mark Nichols, Heather Price, Nathan Prosperi, Allison Rollings and Bob Waters.
Performances run over three weekends: October 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 16 & 17. All Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 PM; Sunday performances are at 2 PM.
