Curt Jeffrey Nitzsche of Reading passed away at age 60 on August 25th, 2026. Curt was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on September 23rd, 1965, the loving Son of Curt E. and Sally C. (Lord) of Reading, proud Pop of Curt A. Nitzsche and his wife Jennifer, and Brother of the late Scott A. Nitzsche.
Curt grew up in Reading and graduated from Reading Memorial High School class of 1984. He was a carpenter, gardener, musician outdoorsman, and a volunteer for the University of New Hampshire. He enjoyed tending to his garden, playing the guitar, being outdoors, and camping.
A memorial service will be held celebrating Curt’s life on Wednesday September 16th, 2026, at the First Congregational Church of Reading, 25 Woburn St. Reading at 11 am. A gathering will follow the service at the church. Burial is private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Curt’s memory to the First Congregational Church of Reading.
