Senator Jason Lewis Virtual Office Hours

State Senator Jason Lewis will host virtual office hours from 2:00 PM–3:00 PM. Residents are invited to discuss legislative feedback, local concerns, and constituent issues with the senator and his staff.  More info:thereadingpost.com/events

Pleasant Street Center Licensed Hairdresser

The Pleasant Street Center will offer licensed hairdresser appointments from 9:00 AM–1:30 PM for Reading seniors. Appointments are required.  More info:thereadingpost.com/events

Town Manager Jayne Wellman Office Hours

Residents can meet with Town Manager Jayne Wellman during office hours from 1:30 PM–2:30 PM at the Pleasant Street Center. The informal session gives community members an opportunity to ask questions and connect with town leadership.  More info:thereadingpost.com/events

Lafayette’s Legacy in Reading

Historian Alan Hoffman will present a program on Marquis de Lafayette’s historic visit to Reading as part of his 1824–1825 American tour. The event takes place from 2:00 PM–3:00 PM at the Pleasant Street Center. More info:thereadingpost.com/events


Wednesday, May 20

“Treasures or Trinkets?” Antique Appraisal Event

The Friends of Reading Seniors 60 Plus will host an antique appraisal fundraiser at Christ The King Parish Center at St. Agnes Church. Local antiques expert Douglas Stinson will appraise items brought by attendees during afternoon and evening sessions. Veterans Grave Decoration Volunteers Needed

The Town of Reading Veterans Services will continue preparations for Memorial Day by placing flags and flowers on veterans’ graves beginning at 9:00 AM. Town Manager Jayne Wellman Office Hours

AARP Presentation: “Adapting and Transitioning as We Age”
