Step Into the World Through Dance at International Folk Dancing

Folk dances, taught by Marcie Van Cleave at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading from January 9 through March 27

Reading, MA — Everyone is invited to come to International Folk Dancing at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading.

Marcie Van Cleave, director of the Folk Arts Center of New England, will teach easy dances from around the world on Fridays from 12:30 to 2:15 pm from January 9, 2026, through March 27, 2026.

No experience necessary! All dances are taught. Learn easy dances from Israel, France, Romania, Bolivia, England, Ukraine, the United States, Sweden, and more.  Fun, fellowship, music, and movement indoors during the cold winter months.

If you can get yourself in the door, “the rest is easy.” Come alone or bring friends. Suggested donations of $10 or $15 per day help cover the series’ expenses. No advance registration is required. Newcomers are always welcome.

Dances are held in Fellowship Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading, 239 Woburn St., Reading, MA. Please use the Summer Ave. entrance. The building is fully accessible. For more information, contact Martha Moore at Moore944@gmail.com
