Every year, people in the United States throw out more than 34 billion pounds of used textiles. Divided across the population, that’s more than 100 pounds of textile waste per person each year. Of those, 66% end up in landfills. There are options – community clothing swaps give new and gently used clothes a second, sustainable life. You can help the environment, clean out your closet, and build community at this free fashion-sharing event!
