Community breakfast, student artwork, musical performances, and a keynote address to highlight the annual event at the RMHS

Reading Public Library (RPL), Reading, MA — Mark your calendar and join the community in celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 19, 2026.
The celebration begins at 9:30 AM with a community breakfast provided by Reading Public Schools. Come meet representatives from local organizations and view artwork created by students.
The inspirational and uplifting program starts at 10:00 AM, featuring musical performances, student presentations, and a special keynote address.
If your organization is interested in having a table at the PAC (Performing Arts Center), or if you would like to volunteer, please contact the Office of Equity & Social Justice at oesj@readingma.gov.
The event location is wheelchair accessible, and ASL translators are available upon request.
