It’s Thanksgiving Day, and Farmer Byrd’s Turkey & Vegetable Farm is expecting business, but a surprisingly empty pen has the farmer declaring, “No turkeys for sale!”
Follow along as a group of kids get crafty and decide to save some turkeys by coming up with a cornucopia of creative and silly disguises for their feathered friends.
Inspired by the popular Thanksgiving school activity of creating paper disguises for the turkey, this paper-over-board picture book is perfect for the classroom and for story time at home.

Cynthia Platt is the author of the novels Postcards from Summer and Parker Bell and the Science of Friendship and picture books including Grow, Easter Starring Egg!, Panda-Monium!, and A Little Bit of Love. When she isn’t writing, Cynthia teaches at Lesley University.
