Chris Haley did not show a video that he recorded INSIDE town hall as Mr. White wrote in his LTE. He also knew that was the case because he was at the meeting the other night and gave public comment. An RCTV board member erroneously accused Mr. Haley of recording that video inside town hall to which Mr. Haley corrected him and said that video was recorded from his house while watching CPDC on his television. Just like anyone else could have.
The town unequivocally does not operate the cameras or the recording device. That is entirely on RCTV. To suggest otherwise is to deflect from the point that RCTV was caught recording inside town hall and broadcasting live to residents without authorization and an on-air light that is purely decoration. That’s the best-case scenario…
Mr. White said it best that this was “more likely incompetence”. You don’t reward incompetence with a new contract after the 4th time they were caught doing this. Hopefully Mr. White will correct the record.
