Unofficial Special Election Results

Reading, MA — Both ballot questions were approved in the Special Election held last Tuesday, with a voter turnout of 23.1% (4,904 votes). Ballot Question 1, concerning the Killam School project, is estimated to cost $130 million, with the Massachusetts School Building Authority expected to reimburse Reading for just over $44 million. Ballot Question 2 pertains to the $27 million Reading Center for Active Living. The election results are unofficial until certified by the Town Clerk.
