Robert Pyle of Wakefield, previously of Reading, died on April 2, 2025, leaving Evelyn, his beloved wife of more than 40 years. Robert (Bob) was born in Chappell, NE, and graduated from the University of Nebraska with degrees in Electrical Engineering. He moved east to accept a job at TASC (The Analytic Sciences Corporation), remaining at the Reading defense contractor until he retired.
Bob and Evelyn enjoyed traveling, and Bob, an avid photographer, set up a darkroom to develop his black-and-white photographs, which have been displayed in local galleries. In addition, Bob’s enthusiasm for classical music led him to build a harpsichord.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 23 at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 239 Woburn St., Reading, MA.
