Reading, MA — We invite you to the launch of Deer in the Road, the debut novel by Claudette Sabbag, on Friday, May 17, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Set in Cape Cod, Deer in the Road begins with a single, chilling incident: a troubled young man hits a deer, setting off a chain of events that will reshape several lives. Narrated through the intertwined voices of an elderly man and his adult granddaughter, this poignant, multigenerational novel delves into how our decisions reverberate through time.

Claudette Sabbag, a retired teacher from Massachusetts, brings her warm wit and thoughtful insight to this debut. When she’s not writing or reading, Claudette can be found golfing, walking, enjoying the beach, or watching others ski from the comfort of her family’s condo in Maine. Deer in the Road marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her life and literary career.

Deer in the Road is published by iDeer Publishing, a Massachusetts-based, family owned and operated independent publishing house specializing in unheard voices and unfathomable ideas.

Join us for an afternoon of storytelling, book signing, and conversation. The book launch will include a reading from Claudette, Q&A, and an opportunity to purchase signed copies.
