BOSTON – State Representative Richard Haggerty (D-Woburn) recently joined Reading Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Thomas Milaschewski and Reading Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity, Inc. (METCO) Interim Directors Cindy Marte and Jerika Santiago at the State House for a METCO legislative briefing. The session highlighted important updates on student outcomes, racial equity initiatives, and new METCO program opportunities. Legislators participated in a question-and-answer period and shared ideas during the collaborative discussion that followed the presentation.
