Chelmsford, MA – Ann Dorothy Ricker, a cherished daughter, sister and aunt passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the age of 66, after a brief illness.
Ann was the beloved daughter of Ruth (Perry) McCarey of Haverhill and the late Almerico DiCampo. She was the loving sister of Thomas DiCampo and his wife, Lori, of Goshen, NH, and the late Jean Dalton and Elaine Anderson. Ann was also a devoted aunt to Dee Dee Anders and her wife, Patricia of Darrington, WA, Dutchy Anderson of Burlington, MA, and Mark Dalton and his wife, Jen, of Fairlee, VT.
Ann was born in Lowell, MA, and was one of four children of Almerico and Ruth (Perry) DiCampo. Her early years were spent in a variety of communities, including Willmington, MA, Gilford, NH, Windsor, VT, Lewiston, ME, and Reading, MA. She graduated from Reading High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northeastern University.
The majority of Ann’s accounting career was spent with A.W. Chesterton Company, where she worked in numerous roles, most recently as the Assistant Plant Operations Controller and Financial Project Manager. Her position allowed her to travel the world, working on projects that challenged and inspired her. She retired in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence.
After retirement Ann developed a second career as a health insurance specialist for seniors with Gateway Retirement Solutions.
Outside of her professional life, Ann had a variety of hobbies and interests. She was an active leader with the Global Information Network for many years. Ann also had a love for recognizing the beauty in nature, the outdoors and spiritual healing. She had a deep passion for minerals, rocks, crystals and fossils and would attend various rock shows and Rockhounding opportunities throughout her travels.
Ann also enjoyed the outdoors, the beach and gardening. She loved spending time with Family and Friends and you could always hear her contagious laughter while sitting around a campfire. She had a heart of gold, a passion for life and she will truly be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial in Ann’s honor may be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal or the World Wildlife Fund.
