Charles “Bud” Edward Wilson of Reading passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. He was 81 years old.
Born on May 24, 1943, and raised in Malden, Bud is the son of the late Samuel and Gertrude (Carleton) Wilson. Bud is a beloved husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend who lived a life full of joy, adventure, hard work, loyalty, and love.
Bud lived in Reading for over 50 years, where he raised his family with his beloved late wife Andrea (Semenuk) Wilson and made a lifetime of memories. He is the loving father to Christine Allain and her husband Paul, Keith Wilson and his wife Julie, and is preceded by his daughter Valerie and son Scott. He is Papa to his grandchildren: Jillian, Caroline, Natalie, Nicole, and Craig. Great grandfather to Zaya Quarles. Bud is the oldest of his siblings, a role he cherished. He leaves behind Jane Howard and her late husband Tommy, Doris Miranda and her husband Mickey, Jimmy Wilson and his wife Connie, and best friend and brother Barry Wilson. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Bud was a hard worker who found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. His family was his greatest love, and his loyalty was unwavering. He always prioritized spending time with those closest to him, creating countless treasured memories. Bud found happiness cruising around in his convertible Mustang, catching beautiful sunsets by the lake, and taking long road trips to find the very best food on the East Coast.
Bud also deeply valued the relationships he built over the years with his lifelong friends and coworkers. Some of his greatest days were spent visiting friends and reminiscing about old times, cherishing the moments spent sharing stories and laughter.
Bud’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His kind spirit and the love he shared with those around him will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service for Buddy in the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 302 Elm St., Everett on Monday, Dec. 2nd at 11am, with burial to follow. Please go directly to the chapel. Visitation will be held in the Cota Family Funeral Home, 335 Park St., (corner of Park St. and Rte.28) North Reading at Reading line on Sunday, Dec 1st from 1-5pm.
