Reading, MA — Creative Arts is celebrating its 2nd Annual PumpkinFest Family Festival and Fundraiser on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 5:00-7:00 pm at Creative Arts, 25 Woburn Street in Reading. Pumpkinfest is free and open to the public regardless of the weather. All are welcome!
Creative Arts invites the Reading community, its surrounding towns and communities to this exciting event. There will be Halloween and Fall themed activities, games, and events, such as Halloween Arts & Crafts, Face Painting, a Best Halloween Costume Contest, Best Pumpkin Contest (carved or decorated), food and music!
We will be doing our Pumpkinfest Raffle where you can purchase raffle tickets for a selection of baskets and gifts. We are still finalizing prizes, but last year’s prizes included Boston Celtics tickets, a Gloucester AirBnB home, Whitelam Books, the Umbrella Stage Company and Gloucester Stage Company theater tickets, The Chocolate Truffle, Cupcake City, Everything But The Dog, and more!
The Best Pumpkin contestants can drop off their entries to the Creative Arts office starting Friday, October 25, between 3-6pm, or on Saturday, October 28 between 10am-5pm. PLEASE NO CANDLES. We will provide LED lights. All pumpkins will be on display outside in our Jack O’Lantern Pumpkin Patch under the Big Sanborn Street Tree. Contestants must be present when the winner is announced at 6 pm at the Pumpkin Patch.
The Halloween Costume Parade will take place in the Guild Theater at approximately 6:30 pm (adult, teen, child categories). All contestants are encouraged to be creative, spooky, over-the-top, thematic, artistic, but mostly, to have fun! Contestants must be present. Winners will be announced live.
We invite local businesses, clubs, families, schools, and organizations to be involved in 2 different ways:
- Pumpkin Palooza Raffle
Create and donate a pumpkin or fall themed raffle basket or prize. The more creative the better! Great add-ons include gift cards, candy, books, etc. (tax deductible). - Sponsorship
Become a PumpkinFest Sponsor with your tax-deductible donation: Silver $100; Gold $250; Platinum $500
About Creative Arts
Located in Reading Center since 1978, Creative Arts is non-profit arts school that offers private and group lessons in theater, music, and art for all ages and all abilities year-round. We always have vacation week programs in December, February, and April, and our 10-week Summer Programs.
Our main entrance is at 32 Lowell Street / Route 129, behind Reading Town Hall, and has a free parking lot. A second entrance is located near 48 Sanborn St., where street parking is available.
Our building is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Handicap parking is available at both of these entrances.
