Wakefield Arts and Crafts Society

Wakefield, MA — The first meeting of the Wakefield Arts and Crafts Society for the 2024-2025 season was held on September 10 at the Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church, 273 Vernon St., Wakefield. Our speaker, Ryan Kelley, gave a lively demonstration of his beautiful art of making trees from copper wire. During his demonstration, he spoke passionately about how art has shaped his life. At the end, a beautiful weeping willow tree was won by member Nancy Burnett. Pictured in the photo with Ryan are members Sandy Bates, Nancy Burnett, and Sandy Panico.

Our next meeting on October 1 at 10 AM will feature three mini-workshops led by members of the group in alcohol ink, card making, and glitzy ornament making. Guests are welcome to this meeting for free. Try us out, and maybe you’ll want to join!
