March 21, 1935 ~ August 8, 2024

Anna (Cafazzo) Champa, beloved wife of the late Joseph Champa, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. Born in Boston, she is the loving daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (DeSimone) Cafazzo. Anna grew up in East Boston and attended East Boston public schools. She married the love of her life, Joseph, in 1958. They settled in Reading to raise their family and lived on Woburn Street for over 60 years.

In addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, Anna worked for many years typing tax forms for Matthew Previte Tax and Financial Services. Anna took great pride in making her house a warm and welcoming place for her family and friends. She was a talented cook and very generous to all. Her greatest joy came from being with her family and dedicating herself to her children and grandchildren.

Anna is the beloved mother of Jo-Marie Leone and her husband Mark of Mendon and William Champa and his wife Caren of Reading. Cherished grandmother of Samuel and Theodore Leone and Joseph Champa. Beloved sister of the late Danny Cafazzo and Al Cafazzo and life long friend who was considered to be like a sister, Lucy Intoniti of Reading. Anna is the aunt to many loved nieces and nephews.

Anna’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the many caregivers that treated her with love and kindness. Their love and dedication truly made Anna’s life comfortable over the past couple of years.
