Ronald Rhoades, 58 of Lancaster, MA passed away on July 20th, 2024. Ron grew up in Reading Massachusetts and graduated in 1984 from Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School in Wakefield, Mass. Ron studied auto mechanics and became an auto technician, after that he went on to work for UPS as a truck driver and has been there over 25 years.
Ron loved spending time with his children. Ron was so proud of them and always said they were the best accomplishments in his life. Ron’s family and friends were very important to him. Ron was extremely selfless; he was the kind of person who would take the shirt off his own back if you needed it. Ron was known for his witty humor, and he never failed to make his loved ones laugh. No matter what life threw his way, he persevered and always looked at the positive. Ron loved working on cars and DIY projects, as well as dabbling in the stock market.
Ron is survived by his children Ryan, Eric & Taylor Rhoades, as well as his siblings, Frankie Rhoades, Lauri Pattelena, Chris Timoney, Andrea Comeau, Ariel Starr, and Tregei Starr. His Aunt Evelyn Lehr and Uncle Dennis Lehr. Cousins Denise Lehr, Lisa Marino and Meghan Lehr & David Lehr. Ron had many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Pattelena, and her husband, John Pattelena. His father, Dusty Rhoades, and Ronald Starr. His sister Michele Rhoades & Danielle Starr. His Aunt Linda Ravizza & Marie Pavelich.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with his family on Friday, July 26th, 2024, at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Parking attendants and an elevator are available.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Ron’s eternal life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27th, 2024, in the funeral home.
