Dear residents of Precinct 7,
A few of your elected Town Meeting Members have received suggestions that a discussion on the upcoming MBTA Communities vote is of interest to the community at large. Therefore, Precinct 7 Town Meeting Members have scheduled a public discussion on this topic on August 1st (Thursday), 7 pm, at the Reading Public Library’s Community Room (bottom floor).
You are encouraged to attend the Town-hosted meeting “Refined and Narrowing Concepts” the day before, on July 31st (Wednesday), at 7 pm, at the Reading Public Library Community Room. This will allow us to have an informed, up-to-date discussion on the subject.
Anticipated questions about the P7 Meeting, along with answers, are below. Hope to see you there.
Q1) Will all P7 Town Meeting Members be present?
A1) About a dozen have confirmed they will be in attendance at this time. Please understand that summer is difficult, as people are away on travel.
Q2) Will there be a virtual option?
A2) No.
Q3) Is this the only meeting Precinct 7 Town Meeting Members will host?
A3) Additional meeting(s) can be scheduled if there is a demand.
Q4) Are non-Precinct 7 residents allowed to attend?
A4) The meeting is open to everyone, but the focus will be on Precinct 7.
Q5) What form will this meeting take?
A5) An open dialogue, between/amongst Precinct 7 residents and Town Meeting Members.
