Join our Watch Party to Meet Kate DiCamillo

Tuesday, July 9 at 2:00 pm!

Reading Public Library (RPL), Reading, MA— We’re going to Deckawoo Drive with everyone’s favorite adventure loving pig, Mercy Watson! Newbery Medal-winning author Kate DiCamillo will share the stories behind the creation of her early chapter book series, the original Mercy Watson, and the follow-up series, Tales from Deckawoo Drive.

On Tuesday, July 9, at 2:00 pm, join us in the Community Room for our Friends Speaker Series Watch Party! You’ll gather with other fans and friends to hear Kate discuss her writing, and kids have a chance to ask questions during the program, which will be submitted for the Q&A portion of the program. And, you can play Kate DiCamillo bingo to enter to win a copy of Mercy Watson to the Rescue!

The Friends Speaker Series presents celebrated authors and compelling speakers in a virtual showcase you can access anytime, as well as via live online events and in-person watch parties at the library. Each month you can choose from a range of acclaimed speakers and authors from around the world.

Registration is not required for the Watch Party at the library. All events are free and open to the public. Call 781-944-0840 for more information.
