The Cookie Monstah Set to Open Seventh Bake Shop in Reading at Jordan’s Furniture

The Exclusive Eliot Cookie Monstah Sandwich to benefit The Jordan’s Charitable Foundation

Reading, MA  – The Cookie Monstah is set to open a seventh bake shop in Reading at Jordan’s Furniture on June 19. Offered daily will be nearly 15 of Boston’s best Cookies with their motto “Fresh Batch, From Scratch” where each batch is mixed in the morning and baked as needed. Also served will be their signature Cookie Monstah sandwiches (select two fresh-baked cookies and one ice cream flavor), Quakes (frappe with a cookie blended), Cookie n’ Cream (choice of one cookie and ice cream), cups of ice cream, floats, and an Iced Tea Crusher. Located at 50 Walkers Brook Driveinside Jordan’s Furniture, the Cookie Monstah store hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday to Thursday; 10 a.m – 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday.

“As we are taking over the former Richardson’s space it’s a natural choice location as we’ve exclusively used Richardson’s ice cream since starting in 2012. Our family cookie business melds well with Jordan’s philosophy and reach. We have a lot of “Monstah” fans in the area,” states founder/owner Melissa Gale.

Exclusive to the Jordan’s location is The Eliot – cherry vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two double chocolate cookies, custom-created by Eliot Tatelman, President of Jordan’s Furniture. With the sale of each Eliot, 20% of proceeds from the combo will be donated to the Jordan’s Charitable Foundation. “I love cookies and I love ice cream. Put them together and it doesn’t get any better! We are thrilled and excited for the new partnership with Cookie Monstah. They will be a great addition at our Reading store, making the Jordan’s experience even sweeter,” said Jordan’s President Eliot Tatelman.

Along with the perennial favorite Chocolate Chunk cookie, a variety of 12 to 15 cookies will be offered daily. Founded in 2012 by Melissa Gale, The Cookie Monstah is a “fresh batch, from scratch” locally family owned and operated company. What started as one cookie truck, has expanded to a fleet of seven trucks and seven Bake Shops located in Danvers, Burlington, Swampscott, Needham, Beverly, North Andover and Reading. Another shop in Newtonville will open in the fall.
