Dena L. (Vercellotti) Stowell, 93, of Wakefield, MA, formerly of Somers, CT, and Reading, MA, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.
Dena was a beloved and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend.
Dena was born on November 3, 1930 in Elm Grove WV, the daughter of the late Vincent Vercellotti and Celestina (Borre) Vercellotti. In addition to her parents she was predeceased in death by her loving husband Richard A. Stowell and son Kevin D. Stowell. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Constance V. Kent, John Vercellotti, and Dorothy Griffith. She is survived by her devoted children Mark R. Stowell and Pamela K. Stowell and her husband Rudolph G. Lawler, her sister Norma V. Griffith and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held for Dena at the Douglass, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Monday, June 3 from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a funeral service celebrating her life at11:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading.
